I write stories because I think stories matter.

Stories lead us home. Epic or ordinary. Tragic and beautiful. They give place to our days, toils, and bonds. They call out our best while speaking honestly of the rest.

My JPAC Zeb Dalton Series features an Iraq/Afghan Wars Veteran, working hard to make sense of his world with a keen mind and fragile yet lingering sense of duty alongside a former Army sniper trainer, engaging every new battle with integrity and honor–especially when the fight is to keep Dalton from the edge.

My newest series–the Carter Jons Christian Crime Thrillers–features a rookie Iowa State Patrolman, leveraging his faith while navigating the place of justice in a broken world.

A displaced Seattleite currently living with my family in Iowa, I am also a professional musician, non-fiction author, and pastor.
